Barron Jail Cell

This Jail Cell came from the old brick City Hall/Fire Department building in Barron.
It was constructed in 1907 on 4th Street at the site if the new Department building. The Council Chambers were located upstairs while the fire equipment was on the lower level.

Located in the back of the building in the northeast corner was a room about 10 x 10 feet in size. It contained a desk & chair and a file cabinet. A room directly across the hall to the south is where the jail cell was located. The City Police used this facility until the City Hall moved into the vacated Bank of Barron building in 1973.
