Display Building #26

The building named Display 26 has an array of scenes. Here is a list of the scenes that are shown in this building:
  • Homestead Kitchen and Supplies- This room shows some of the appliances that were used in our history. Many of them are the same as we have now but they didn't use electricity.
  • Home- This room shows a model living room. There is a piano, baby carriage, and some wicker furniture. The room is set up like a real life one. There are also some displays of interior decorating.
  • Shoe Maker Shop-(shown at right) This room duplicates how a Shoe Maker's Shop might have looked. Displayed here are supplies and some boots that were hand made. Many of the tools are the same that are used by today's leather crafters.
  • General Store and Pharmacy This display is a replica of a General Store and Pharmacy. Many bottles that were used to distribute drugs are on display. Almost all of these drugs you would never see in a pharmacy today!
  • Wood Working Shop- The Wood Working Shop is a neat display. It has samples of wood carvings and is set up like a real shop. There are also many tools and handbooks in this display.
  • Tavern-(shown below right) This is a favorite attraction in the summer since the museum serves root beer in collectable bottles. Candy bars are also sold in this display. The room contains beer, soda bottles, advertising signs, a juke box, and a bar stool display.
  • Lawyers Office-This office contains a desk that was actually used by a county lawyer. Many of the former law books are still on display. Boy has our law system improved!
1930's Homestead Kitchen- This kitchen contains a chair and table setting. It also contains an ironing board, dish sets, and many other kitchen supplies.
